Kennie ’82 & Jennifer Nowlin Scholarship

This scholarship is given in honor of Kennie ’82 and Jennifer Nowlin who live out the Aggie core values each and every day. Kennie and Jennifer believe in serving their community and being examples of Good Ags in all they do. This scholarship is given by their daughter (Liza ’10) and son (Jackson) to honor their dedication to their community, their core values, and Texas A&M.
Kennie is a third-generation Aggie with his father (Clyde Nowlin ’50) and grandfather (F. Ennis Smith ’21) both having attended Texas A&M prior to his attendance. Being raised on the Aggie core values in Bynum and sometimes in the south end-zone of Kyle Field, Kennie followed in their footsteps and attended Texas A&M; graduating in 1982 with a degree in Agricultural Economics.
While Jennifer did not attend Texas A&M, she has been an Aggie fan for most of her life and lives the Aggie values alongside Kennie and the rest of the Nowlin family, including a daughter (Liza ’10), niece (Wendy ’97 and husband Trent ’95), two great-nephews (Landon ’27 and Tyler ’28) and sister in-law (Lesa ’81); all of which attended or are currently attending Texas A&M University.

Students complete and submit the Hill County Aggie Scholarship Application and the scholarship is awarded at the annual Hill County Aggie Muster ceremony on April 21st.
